EPD meeting, September 2016

Registration is now open, please register here.

Abstracts submission for short talks: EasyChair.

The Eukaryotic Promoter Database EPD is one of the earliest biomolecular databases and among the very few that have been continuously maintained since its inception.

The symposium represents a timely and important opportunity to reflect on four decades of promoter research and to consolidate the current state of knowledge in the field. In addition, the event will address broader questions concerning the future of biodata resources, including how next-generation databases can be designed to be AI-friendy and how long-term computational reproducibility of data-driven research can be ensured.

The scientific programme will include invited talks, short presentations, round table discussions, and poster sessions, fostering exchange across disciplines. Particular emphasis will be placed on connecting wet-lab biologists, computational scientists, and AI experts, as well as supporting interactions between early-career researchers and established leaders in the field.

Special announcement: A promoter prediction challenge will be presented and launched during a dedicated kick-off session. Don't miss it if you are interested in joining te competition!
